Weather Permitting Winter Season Begins: Grab your skis and boards and head to the mountain!

Solitude's 4th Annual WinterFest

Guests staying in the Village at Solitude are sure to be entertained throughout this festive time of the year. Expect avalanche dog demonstrations, s'mores parties, ice skating, carolers, alphorn players, magicians, ice carvers, storytellers and other guest speakers.


December 25, 2011

Santa Visits Solitude Mountain Resort

Look for Santa on the mountain as he hands out candy canes for all the kids. Later, meet up with him for photos by the fire pit in the Village.


December 30, 2011

Kids Glow Parade

Children of all ages will want to take part in this special parade of lights. Kids meet at the Last Chance Mining Camp at 4:45 pm, ready to ski. Snow cat shuttle will take kids to the top of Main Street. Parade starts around 5:15. Free hot chocolate and treats from Whole Foods for all participants following the parade.

22nd Annual Chocolate Lovers Tour

Free chocolate treats, including ice cream, chocolate milk, chocolate covered strawberries and candy! Look for the various chocolate stations around the base area and on- mountain. Complete your Passport to Chocolate and be eligible to win fabulous prizes at the 1:30 p.m. drawing at Moonbeam.

February 25, 2012

Kids' Mini Downhill

All eyes are on the Solitude Race Course as children ages 4 to 13 compete in this annual classic. Pre-register through Solitude's Snowsports Academy, or day of the race at the top of the Moonbeam Center stairs. Registration starts at 9:00-10:15 a.m. Kids compete for medals and prizes, which will be handed out in our Olympics-style ceremony. Free treats from Whole Foods Market for all participants following the race.

Peter Cottontail visits the Moonbeam Center, as well as an Egg hunt for the little ones.
